This Ave Maria melody comes from an old Catholic hymnal found in the archives of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Calumet, Michigan, where Christina Harmon was in the Upper Peninsula playing  a series of recitals for the Pine Mountain Music Festival in 2011.   Mary Bratetich, a 93 year old at the time who was a longtime member of St. Paul’s, asked Christina to make an organ arrangement of this hymn, which at that time was frequently sung at St. Paul’s.   Unfortunately no composer was listed and  despite a long search  no  composer was ever found. Meanwhile Christina did make an arrangement of this for organ, and subsequently added a soprano part to it.  It was premiered at the Vatican in 2017. 

Yannick Merlin, organist at Notre Dame des Champs and the organ editor for Delatour, published it in 2018.  The following links are to the Delatour website where you may obtain either a printed edition or an E-Score in PDF format.
